This is a program for individuals interested in becoming Catholic and receiving the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.
Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
RCIA is for adults who wish to enter the Catholic Church or receive the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation; however, the RCIA process provides a great opportunity for individuals who have already received these sacraments to resume and/or continue an in-depth study of their faith.
Our Lady of Fatima invites adult parishioners of all ages who are interested in adult catechesis to attend our weekly RCIA classes in order to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the faith.
If you have a desire to learn more about your faith in order to grow closer to the Lord and His Church and share this knowledge and experience with others, then this class may be for you. No prior adult catechesis experience is required.
Classes for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and for Adult Confirmation will be starting in
August 2023.
RCIA is intended for unbaptized adults who wish to become baptized Catholics, for Christians who have been baptized in another Christian denomination and now wish to become Catholic, and for Catholics who were baptized but did not receive any additional Sacraments. The Adult Confirmation classes are for baptized Catholics who have received First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, but never received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Class sessions will be offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in Fatima-Gallagher Hall beginning August 30, 2023 and ending May 19, 2024.
There is no cost to participate. Registration for RCIA must take place before the first class starts.
Sacraments will be received at the Mass of the Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
For more information or to register in the RCIA program, please call the Parish Office at (505)265-5868 to make an appointment with one of the priests.
